Shot blasting
Shot blasting of steel structures for surface preparation
Professional preparation for painting, galvanizing and anti-corrosion protection
At Jansa Metal, we carry out the shot blasting of steel structures as part of the industrial surface preparation process prior to painting or galvanizing. Through the controlled projection of abrasive material, we remove rust, mill scale and impurities from the steel, obtaining a clean and rough surface that guarantees maximum adhesion of protection systems.

Why is shot blasting essential?
What is SA 2½ shot blasting and what are its benefits?
At Jansa Metal, we apply a SA 2½ blast cleaning grade according to the ISO 8501-1 standard, internationally recognized as the optimal standard for preparing metal surfaces before applying protective systems like paint or industrial coatings.
SA 2½, also known as “Near-White Blast Cleaning,” removes almost all oxides, mill scale, previous paint, and visible contaminants. It leaves the surface slightly rough and uniformly metallic, creating the perfect foundation for a strong and durable coating anchor.
